While studying Mining Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Murat Güneş also attended the Turkish Music Department at Istanbul University State Conservatory during the same years.
During his school years, he provided backing vocals for various artists on stage and in album recordings while his own songs started to appear in numerous albums.
Among the artists who have performed his songs are prominent names such as Hadise, Kenan Doğulu, Ajda Pekkan, Yaşar, Demet Akalın, Serdar Ortaç, Mustafa Sandal, Gökhan Türkmen, Merve Özbey, Bengü, Tan Taşçı, İkilem, Buray, Berkay, Atiye, Hande Ünsal, Yonca Lodi, Aynur Aydın, Özgün, Kutsi, Keremcem, Burcu Güneş, Bilal Sonses, Zerrin Özer, and Nükhet Duru.
The artist first introduced his voice with the song “Limanlar” in the album called “Çınar” prepared for tribute to Aysel Gürel, and he began his solo career with the single “Kalp Farkıyla.” This was followed by the duet “Beşinci Mevsim” with Yonca Lodi.
After releasing the single “Kalanıma Hoşgeldiniz” in 2023, he began releasing singles from his first album “Gökyüzü” in 2024.
Concurrently, he started covering songs he had written for other artists, the first of which was “Sen İstanbul’sun.”
The artist, who has written songs for high-rating TV series such as Erkenci Kuş, Ufak Tefek Cinayetler, Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, and Ada Masalı, keeps writing songs for many singers as well.
